No. Loading, rendering, recording, and video encoding all run inside your browser tab. The only network request the app ever makes for your account is checking a license key. Unreleased or client-confidential models never leave your machine.

A single-model unlock ($3, one-time) removes the watermark for one specific model — identified by the file itself, so re-loading or renaming it keeps the unlock. PRO is a subscription that removes the watermark for every model on up to 5 devices. Both keys go in the same box in the app; it figures out which kind you pasted.
Exports simply return to the free watermark when the subscription lapses. Nothing else changes and nothing is lost.
Payments run through Lemon Squeezy, and refund requests are honored through them — reply to your receipt email.
Any modern browser handles the standard renderer. The ray-traced photo mode uses your GPU heavily — a recent laptop or desktop graphics chip gets you a photo in seconds; older machines can stick with the standard engine.
Because they're first-class targets: 4:3 and 3:4 — MakerWorld's default listing sizes — are built into the export menu alongside 16:9, 1:1, and 9:16.
